Yesterday was the fifth anniversary of the official confirmation of the desperately sad passing of Martin Lucas, poet, founder of Presence, all-round genius and lovely bloke. My appreciation of Martin, written a month or two afterwards, is still on the website of A Hundred Gourds.

Thank you for sharing that again – a wonderful read. Hard to believe it’s been five years.
Whenever I’m in doubt about a bit of writing I try to imagine what Martin might suggest, and often I come to the conclusion that if I’m needing to work that hard I’m probably best putting it to one side for now!
I know. It still seems unbelievable that he’s gone.
